The summer may be drawing to a close, but we know the Emma Wallace woman loves a last-minute adventure and will no doubt be jetting off throughout the month.
When it comes to long weekends away, it’s all about keeping it simple with hand luggage. No one has time to wait by that baggage carousel, keeping it to carry-on will ensure you spend less time at the airport and more time exploring.
However, with limited space comes critical decisions! You need looks that can go the distance and be worn in multiple ways to ensure they work hard for your whole trip. This week, we’re revealing the pieces we’d pack that will work wherever your adventure takes you.
Chris Dress
A statement dress is key for any getaway. We love our Chris dress with its beautiful Alar Print, cowl neckline and ruffle hem for its versatility. Pack a long sleeve base layer, long socks and sliders to wear if the chill sets in. Easily removed if the sun makes an appearance to reveal a look that’s equally great when the temperatures soar. Pack one pair of barely there black heels and this dress will take you from sight-seeing to rooftop bar in an instant. Dial up the drama with your make-up and hair. Opt for a high pony and natural base by day before letting your locks down with a bold lip by night.

Jumpsuits are one of our favourite looks to pack when luggage space is tight. Not only are they a complete outfit in one, but they can also be dressed up or down meaning you only need to pack accessories to switch up your look. We love our Reta style with its cropped wide leg and open back detail. It looks effortlessly cool worn with simple white sneakers and a baseball cap by day or turned up with a pair of coloured heels and a dramatic smoky eye for dinner in the evening. Now a co-ord may mean packing two pieces, but what we love about our Lopez Blazer and Amy Shorts combo is how they can be worn in so many ways to deliver some serious looks. Wear the Amy Shorts with a basic tee (we love our Ione Tee to match) and sneakers for a laid-back look. Swap the tee for a slinky cami (like our Lilac Top) and heels to turn up the seduction and add in the Blazer when you want to mean business. Two pieces, so many looks!
