The Trends To Know At New York Fashion Week

Over the past week, New York Fashion Week made its grand return! Whilst vaccination cards had to be shown at the door and the main accessory was a face mask, the runways were back and better than ever.

From sequins and luxe sportswear at Tom Ford to check prints at Coach, the new season didn’t disappoint. Read on as we reveal the highlights from the FROW and how you can get the look ahead of time with our current collection.

All-White Wonders

Pristine all-over white looks swamped the runways, creating an ethereal feel that felt fresh and flowing for the new season. Structured looks were seen at Veronica Beard, whilst the likes of Gabriela Hearst sent caped maxi-dresses and fringe detail in all-white down the catwalk. White always invigorates us as the sun sets in. For those eager to tap into the trend ahead of time, our Gabriella Dress is the perfect retro inspired piece to add some flirty fun to your wardrobe. For a more casual take our Shari Shorts and Michele Top co-ord offers the ultimate lounge look for those who want the runway feel without compromising on comfort.

Romantic Tales

After a turbulent year, it seems the catwalks were ready to welcome a softer more feminine side that felt effortlessly romantic. Jason Wu showcased watercolour-style florals on voluminous, taffeta pleated gowns and Michael Kors delivered delicate white lace and candy shades in 1950’s silhouettes that felt pretty and elegant in the same breath. For those eager to fall in love with the look then our Wynn Dress with its fluted short sleeves and mesmerising print is perfect for those who want to feel ladylike Meanwhile the Tracey Dress taps into the Wu style florals with the Oasis print complementing the deep draped neckline to deliver that romantic edge.

Glamour Reborn

High-shine sequins, plunging necklines, oversized satin blazers and rich splashes of metallic shades ensured the SS22 runways were an altogether glamorous affair. Tom Ford reigned supreme with sequined vests and silk jogger combos, whilst Rodarte offered up fitted midi dresses embellished with bold, beaded florals and modern nods to the flapper dress in canary yellow and pink shades. Having dressed in loungewear for so long, we’re here for this attention seeking trend. We love our long-sleeved Jenny Dress for those moments when you want to dazzle or, for a slightly more wearable look, our sequined Barb Top looks epic with plain white jeans and skyscraper heels. Want even more? Our Evie Cropped Trousers are the perfect addition to your wardrobe to bring this look to life.

Anything But Mellow Yellow

Bold yellow designs offered a light at the end of the cold winter tunnel with models clad in bright daring designs featuring this sunny hue.  Christian Siriano and Sergio Hudson did head to toe on their runways, whilst the likes of Frederick Anderson put yellow into the mix with other shades. If you’re all in then our Blare Dress is the perfect pick to ensure you shine. For those who want to go understated, then our Ivy Dress with its yellow trim offers just the right nod to this movement.

Peak-A-Boo Pretty

Cut-outs aren't going anywhere, and we are delighted! Offering a subtle flash of skin that delivers the perfect dose of confidence cut-our dresses were seen on models at LaQuan SmithPrabal Gurung and PatBO runways. When it comes to realising this look, our Custom Gowns are filled with these design details and are ready to elevate your out-out outfit. The Fen Gown with its waist cut outs is the perfect fusion of sex appeal and sophistication, whilst the Tien and Stella Gowns offer a more subtle touch that feels paired back and cool.

Now you know how to get ahead of the trends, it’s time to embrace the new season early and show off your early adopter style status!
