Fashion Week is back with a bang! As we get ready to discover the new trends for Spring/Summer 2022, we’re looking back to show you how to nail the key styles for this season.
From solo saturation colours to cut-out details, here’s how to get the AW21 look.
Out out but make it cosy!
With lockdowns easing across the globe, many of us are eager to shed our loungewear in favour of some glamorous pieces. However, the prospect of going from comfy to constructed in an instant is slightly daunting. That’s why we’re loving the high/low trend seen on the catwalks at Molly Goddard, Celine, Dior and Erdem! Layered looks that paired cosy knits and casual silhouettes with fancier eveningwear to create a more versatile take on formal wear will help us transition back into socialising. Want to get the look? Why not layer our Lance Jumper with its soft, spongy jersey texture over our custom Serena Gown in dark green or red. Top it off with some chunky flat knee-high boots and a slouchy hobo bag and you’ve nailed the trend. We also love pairing our sequined Shana Skirt with our Koh Top. Add on the Teri Jacket in black and some black ankle boots for the finishing touch.
A Cut Above
We love a cut-out and these design details have been a part of our brand DNA since Emma Wallace began. It’s therefore no surprise that we love that the AW21 catwalks were awash with this look. Everyone from JW Anderson to Stella McCartney and Givenchy showcased the skin revealing style. Try our Gabriella Dress with its cute cut-out to feel flirty and fabulous or opt for our Lily Dress if you prefer to work your shoulders. Everyday or for an occasion, cut-outs feel contemporary and chic.
Hedonistic Hues
After many months of wearing beige and muted shades around the house, AW21 calls for us to be bold and make a statement with solo saturation. With head-to-toe colour in popping hues, it’s time for all eyes to be on you. The likes of Versace, Elleme, Prada and Lowe all showcased zesty and punchy shades. Want to get the look? Our Janine Dress in a striking orange/red is the ultimate uplifting style. Wear with the same colour sandals to really master the runway and finish with our Gerbera Hairband for the ultimate bold and beautiful detail.
Get Shirty
A return to the office has got the catwalks channelling their corporate side. The likes of Dior and Simone Rocha showcased shirts but with a new take that introduced layering to add texture and depth. Simply wear your favourite white shirt under your dress to add a formal touch to your otherwise relaxed look. We adore our Darryl Shirt with its monochromatic detail. Wear it under the strapless Georgina Dress in black, pair with some high heeled court shoes and get ready to give off those CEO vibes.
Top Of The Crops
Cropped jackets made an impact on the runway with the likes of Tibi and Peta Petrov showcasing textured and shearling iterations respectively. Not only will they keep the chill at bay as autumn sets in, but they also instantly elevate your style credentials. We love our Teri Jacket in black or monochrome print – the perfect finishing piece that feels effortlessly chic. Wear with high waisted trousers (try our Patti, Nala, or Curt styles) to balance out the look. Dress up with skyscraper barely there heels and layered on jewellery or go casual with some white chunky trainers.
