Fashion Week Wonders

With New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks done and dusted, we now know what’s set to be a style hit for Spring 2023. Whether it was ultra-glam sequins, drop waist dresses or chic sheer fabrics, the runways didn’t disappoint with emerging designers and classic favourites putting on an incredible show.

Now, we know the Emma Wallace woman loves to get ahead of the trends. With that in mind, here’s our round up of the SS23 looks to bag ahead of time. Read on and get ready to add to cart before the season arrives.

Drop Waist Debut

SS23 Trend Margie Dress Emma Wallace

You may think a drop waist is best left back in the 1980s but think again – they’re having a major comeback! Whether it was Carolina Herrera or Sandy Liang, drop waist dresses and skirts got all of the FROW excited. If you want to give this trend a try, then it’s got to be our Margie Dress. This midi-length style with a slim fit waist, bat sleeves and ruffle skirt will ensure you’re bang on trend. Featuring our NEW Luth print that is designed exclusively by Emma Wallace, it looks epic paired with black ankle boots for winter before donning your favourite pair of chunky sliders in spring.

Sheer Everything

SS23 Trend Madeline Top Emma WallaceWe all love a sheer moment. It’s the perfect way to show off some sex appeal whilst keeping covered. Intriguing and subtle in equal measure, the likes of Maryam Nassir Zadeh rocked sheer dresses, whilst the Dolce & Gabbana runways debuted seriously chic sheer tops. For those wanting to steal the style ahead of time then our Madeline Top with its drop shoulder detail sleeve and wide pleating details is a must-have. Wear over your favourite bra for a reveal or pair with the matching vest top for a more covered up moment.

School Girl Chic

SS23 Trend Ray Skirt Emma Wallace

Coach and Sandy Liang channelled their inner students with plenty of looks that harked back to school uniform. Think calf-high socks, big bows, pleated skirts and loafers. For a modern take, try our Ray Skirt. This pleated midi features a wide waistband and asymmetric hemline. Wear with a cute cardigan (we love our Janet Cardi) and you’re ready to be crowned teacher’s pet in the style stakes.

Cut Out Catwalks

SS23 Trend Tien Gown Emma Wallace

Showing a little snippet of skin remained a key trend for SS23 with cut-outs causing a stir at the likes of Brandon Maxwell, Christian Siriano and Proenza Schouler who all showcased this peak-a-boo style. Meanwhile, Stella McCartney had cutout one-pieces that were pure perfection. We love a flash of skin that feels chic and sexy at the same time. Our best-selling Tien Gown with its cut-out waist detail is the on-trend dress that will help you get the look in an instant. Perfect for those festive parties and for seasons to come.

Puff Perfection

SS23 Trend Billie Blouse Emma Wallace

This trend gives a whole new meaning to taking up space! Voluminous sleeves are definitely a statement, and the runways were awash with them. Omar Mansoor and Vaquera, alongside a host of other kept this trend (which has been running for a few fabulous seasons now) going. We love longevity, so this is one we can get behind! If you want to steal this style, then our Billie Blouse is an essential addition for your wardrobe. The transformer shirt - our Billie Blouse is a 2 in 1 piece featuring a detachable panel for you to choose whether you want to wear it long or cropped. But it’s the large balloon sleeves that we think makes it a must-have for any fashionista.
