Discover The Best Places For Bonfire Night & What To Wear At Each Event

The whizz, bang and crackle, the vivid shades filling the sky with a hot chocolate in hand – nothing quite beats the beauty of Bonfire Night.

As the 5th of November fast approaches, we’re rounding up our favourite places to take in the fireworks to give our wanderlust loving Emma Wallace women some serious travel inspo, alongside what to wear to each event.

Read on as we reveal all…

Alexandra Palace, London

ALEXANDRA PALACE

An icon of the London Bonfire scene, the famous and rather beautiful Alexandra Palace sets the scene for a 5th November spectacular. With an incredible pyrotechnic display, there’s also an ice disco, film screenings, street food stalls and a German Bier Festival. A huge roaring bonfire completes the evening for a seriously festive feel.

When it comes to what to wear for this night out, the key is cosy! We’d pull on our sumptuous Cam Jumper. This knit features a high neck with wide bat sleeves and a cute tassel for added intrigue. We’d wear it with our equally comfy BTW Jeggings, a pair of chunky ankle boots and a padded puffer. Remember your gloves and earmuffs and you’re good to go!

Shangri-La Hotel, London

SHANGRI LA

Whilst the hotel is quite a distance away from the fireworks, the incredible view from the GONG bar on the 52nd floor offers up an amazing perspective across London to view multiple shows whilst sipping on a decadent cocktail. The luxurious way to enjoy the evening for the Emma Wallace woman who likes to stay warm and dry.

For this option, we’d dial up the glam and go for our fishtail, fitted Geneva Dress. Wear with a pair of skyscraper stilettos and slick your hair back with a power lip. Chic and ready to enjoy the light show!

Portugal Cove St. Philip’s, Canada

PORTUGAL COVE ST

For those living in Canada where the British tradition of Guy Fawkes Night is still observed, then there’s no better place to celebrate than at the beautiful and burning bonfire in Portugal Cove St. Philip’s. With hot dogs, hot chocolate and lots of wholesome fun, it’s the perfect place for you, your family and friends to come together and celebrate.

Casual and relaxed, we’d layer our white Cynthia Top with our navy-blue Bobbi Top to keep warm. Pair with Kizzy Culottes and a pair of comfy, plain white sneakers.

Meraki at Okahu, New Zealand

Meraki

Fancy a club night for Guy Fawkes? Then look no further than Meraki’s night at Okahu in Orakei, Auckland. A twist on the traditional, this event offers an incredible sound and visual experience.

For a night out that dazzles, then we’d pick our Kizzy Trouser and Estelle Top co-ord that’s bang on trend and guaranteed to help you stand out like the firework you are. Pair with chunky platforms so you can keep dancing the night away.

Hopetoun House, Edinburgh

Hopetourn House

This decadent and heritage rich house sets the scene for one of the most beautiful fireworks nights. With a display that will light up the sky and amazing architecture beneath, there’s also fairground attractions and plenty of entertainment to keep our Scottish based Emma Wallace women happy!

We’d nod to the stately home with our high necked, Ida Dress in green which has a regal feel. Wear with black tights, chunky black boots and layer over our Laurie Mac just in case there are showers.

With so many ways to celebrate, it’s time to watch the skies come to life, whilst wearing an outfit that will ensure you glow just as brightly.
