The #ModernDayMuse Series – Louise Page

This week, our interviews continue as we speak to Louise Page - top Hong Kong linguistics educator, successful writer and travel and lifestyle influencer. Finding out about what inspires her - from her most memorable trip to her favourite restaurant!

How would you describe your signature style?

Effortless elegance.

What’s your go-to outfit or look when you want to feel unstoppable?

I like pairing a dainty top with a breezy maxi skirt then finishing the whole look off with a pair of slingbacks or pumps.

Where or who do you draw style inspiration from?

Beyoncé is always my inspiration. She reminds all women to embrace their own kind of curves. I also find her style very daring and fun.

What has been your most memorable travel experience?

Beach towns along southwestern France’s Basque coast. The stylish beaches, food scene, people and ambience had made that summer vacation a special one.

Where would you like to go on your next adventure?

I would love to explore the nature of Spain.

What’s the one item you would take with you?

A soft silk slip dress that I never want to take it off.

What’s the motto you live your life by?

Live and love unapologetically

If you weren’t an English tutor, what would you be?

I could be a therapist. I find pleasure in solving or helping people get through their problems. I can be a very nosy therapist!

What’s your favourite book and why?

I like the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The story of the young man overcoming obstacles in search of his personal legend across the Egyptian desert never fails to inspire me.

What’s your favourite restaurant in the world and why?

Gaggan in Bangkok. Chef Anand has elevated Indian cuisine to fine dining levels using molecular gastronomy techniques. The space is beautifully located in a former 19th century townhouse. The menu there is all emojis. I’ll stop here to avoid spoiling your very first Gaggan experience if you are planning to visit. But don’t forget to make your reservation now while you still can!
