October is an important month for mental health with October 10th being World Mental Health Awareness Day. As a brand we advocate the importance of self care and self love. This season we are taking it one step further and channelling the Ancient Greek philosophy that to truly experience love in all its wonderful forms we must love ourselves first. One way to do this is to surround ourselves with people who bring us positive energy, with this in mind we have the pleasure of introducing to you our brand friend and Emma Wallace Woman: Gianne, an inspiring entrepreneur, and founder of Calmed & Co and Lexemedia.
Gianne's personal experience with mental health challenges led her to discover the profound impact of dressing and styling on her self-confidence and overall mental well-being. As she prioritised her mental health, Gianne realised that choosing outfits that made her feel empowered became an act of self-care, elevating her mood and self-perception. Dressing and styling became instrumental in her journey towards self-acceptance and self-expression.
Gianne's journey encountered a significant challenge when the CBD industry faced a ban in Hong Kong, impacting her original business, Calmed & Co. Instead of succumbing to defeat, Gianne's resilience shone through as she adapted her approach. She turned her focus towards mental health advocacy through Lexemedia, amplifying discussions, providing resources, and fostering a supportive community.
As we come together to commemorate Mental Health Awareness Day, Gianne's journey as an Emma Wallace Woman reminds us of the intrinsic link between self-confidence and mental well-being. By prioritising self-expression and advocating for mental health, Gianne inspires others to embrace their individuality and contribute to creating a more supportive and understanding society.
As we observe Mental Health Awareness Day, let us draw inspiration from Gianne's story and join her in the pursuit of self-acceptance, self-expression, and fostering a world where mental well-being thrives. Together, we can celebrate the power of self-confidence, uplift mental health awareness, and create an environment where individuals feel empowered to embrace their uniqueness while supporting one another on the path to mental well-being.
