The #ModernDayMuse Series – Nathalie Roch

With powerful women who live for adventure inspiring us every day, we’re taking some time out to discover what some of our favourite stylish and unstoppable females have to say as part of our Modern Day Muse series.

This week we spend 5 minutes with French traveller and content creator, Nathalie Roch – the woman behind @Nathalie_Wanders. Read on to discover more about the wanderlust warrior, including the countries on her rather impressive bucket list and the Brazilian meets French fusion restaurant you need to check out!

How would you describe your signature style
I’m obsessed with long dresses. It has been like this since I’m a little girl, when I was dreaming of being a princess! So I always tend to wear one!

What’s your go-to outfit or look when you want to feel unstoppable?
Still a long dress, but high heels with it! I think accessories can be key, just like makeup! It can help you to be more confident!

Where or who do you draw style inspiration from?
I find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest.

What has been your most memorable travel experience?
Once I was kayaking on a fjord in Norway, and a porpoise appeared near me and started to play with me! It was the most incredible moment ever.

Where would you like to go on your next adventure?
I have many countries on my bucket list, but Peru and India are very high on that list!

What’s the one item you would take with you?
My camera!

What’s the motto you live your life by?
“Love and do good”

If you weren’t a digital content creator, what would you be?
I would have loved to have been a comedian.

What’s your favourite book and why?
Une vieille maîtresse (An old mistress) by Jules Barbey d’Aurevilly. It tells the story of a dandy who falls in love with a young woman but can’t fully leave his former mistress behind. This book is full of passion and tormented love! That’s why I love it so much.

What’s your favourite restaurant in the world and why?
Maloka in Paris! It’s a Brazilian restaurant mixed with the French cuisine culture! It’s absolutely delicious, and the restaurant is lovely!
