This week the focus of our #ModernDayMuse series is New York based style blogger and influencer, Isis Louw. We spend 5 minutes with the stunning wife and mama who swapped the world of finance for a career blogging about fashion, travel and food (the dream), as she shares her style secrets, and gives us a glimpse into her favourite destinations!

How would you describe your signature style?
I would describe my style as classic with an edge. I love to mix high end designers pieces with high street, clean lines with bohemian accents especially in warmer weather. I have lived in many cities including New York, Paris, London, Beirut, so my style has been influenced by all of these magical places!
What’s your go-to outfit or look when you want to feel unstoppable?
I have to feel good in my outfit so comfort is key... probably a power suit or a midi skirt with a blazer... and high heels for sure!
Who’s your style icon?
To name one, Audrey Hepburn
Where do you draw style inspiration from?
I get a lot of my inspiration in the streets of New York / London / Paris and on social media
What’s your favourite thing in your wardrobe and why?
My Chanel jackets and bags and my Hermès Birkins and Kellys, they are such timeless investment pieces.
What outfit have you worn that you look back on and think, ‘wow that was the worst’?
Most probably something I wore in my early 20s, I was experimenting with different styles back then... some were pretty awful!
If you could fly somewhere tomorrow, where would you go and why?
The Caribbean, I need some sun!
What’s the one item you would take with you?
A swimsuit!
Where is your ‘happy place’?
A quiet beach anywhere in the world...
What’s the motto you live your life by?
Never ever give up!
If you weren’t a blogger/Influencer, what would you be?
I was an investment banker in a previous life and for a long time! When I was younger I wanted to become a volcanologist...
Which city do you feel has the best style?
Paris, so effortlessly chic!
What’s your favourite book and why?
Kafka on the Shore by Murakami. I love Japanese Surrealism and this book transports you to another world...
What’s your favourite song and why?
I have so many but in general we constantly listen to classical and chill-out music at home.
What’s your favourite restaurant in the world and why?
This is a difficult one. I have so many favourite restaurants! The River Cafe in London, Masa or Eleven Madison Park in New York, L’Arpege or L’Astrance in Paris, Narisawa in Tokyo etc... but I also love low key hidden gems... I can go on forever!
