Looks You’ll Want To Cosy Up To This Winter

They say that from a simple spark bursts a mighty flame and, with Bonfire night setting the sky alight this week, we’re drawing inspiration from this cosy past time to round up some of our favourite warming looks that will ensure you shine, even when you’re wrapped up.

The AW20 catwalks proved comfort is king with trends like quilting reigning supreme and, as another lockdown hits the UK and staying home becoming our pastime of choice for the foreseeable future, cuddly and cosy is the look we’re ready to embrace.

Here’s our five favourite outfits that are perfect for styling on the sofa…just add Netflix and snacks!

Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff

We all love a sweatshirt for its cosy, comfy feel but a sports style can look too laid back for those days when you still want to feel chic. With our Sue Top you can add some drama and detail to your loungewear. Featuring bell sleeves and heavy wool embroidery, it’s the perfect top to upgrade your sofa style. Pair with our Silk Gwendolyn Skirt and sneakers for a more feminine take on relaxed wear or partner with our Premium Jeans for the ultimate in casual cool. Add our Astrid & Miyu Ear Cuff for a touch of bling that will compliment instead of competing with the jumper design.

Duvet For Days

Padded and puffa were the looks we loved on the catwalks this season and, with our Patti skirt, you can get the look in an instant. Featuring a tassel zip pull for added detail, pair with our embroidered Cynthia Top for a look that is cute but casual. Need another layer? Our matching Akari Coat with its on-trend Kimono shape is the ultimate winter warmer. Keep your accessories simple with just the softest touch of metal by adding our Astrid & Miyu Crossing Lines Bangle. Finish with sneakers when you’re on the go or add some chunky track sole boots which are the hottest thing in footwear right now. Perfect for that winter walk!

Keep Your Cowl

Just because we’re getting cosy doesn’t mean we can’t keep it sleek and tailored. For those who prefer a streamlined look, our stunning Noella Top is the ideal option for when you want to wrap up but feel dressed up. Made from a beautiful waffle knit material, the high cowl neckline adds some drama, whilst the wrap tape belt allows you to showcase your own personal style. Tuck into the wide leg Patti Trousers and add our Kiyo Coat for a layered look that feels effortlessly elegant. Add a pair of pointed ankle boots in a neutral shade and our Astrid & Miyu Huggies for the final touch.

Add Some Sparkle

We love a turtleneck for their cosy feel, but we also know the Emma Wallace Woman loves to let her wardrobe shine! That’s why we’ve created our Himari Top which delivers the warmth of a roll neck but features the most beautiful hand embellished flowers to the shoulder to add some much-needed glamour to your winter look. This top pairs perfectly with our Premium Jeans for a relaxed style. However, if you want to up the ante on your cosy capsule wardrobe, match with our Twig Skirt. Featuring a wide fabric belt and gold metal trimmings, it’s a mini that delivers maximum style impact. Add some comfy knee-high boots to keep the cold at bay and throw over our Chiyo Cardigan to add a layer that commands attention. Adorn your hand with our Astrid & Miyu Wishbone Ring for a subtle flash of bling to finish.

Velvet Vixen

Nothing says cosy like velvet and we adore our Mei Jumpsuit for a look that delivers comfort and party in one outfit. Bat wing sleeves, a wrap front and cut-out shoulder detail in luxe teal velvet makes this piece a must have for those spending more time at home. Dress up with a skyscraper heel to party in the kitchen or keep it casual with a pair of slippers for the sofa! This is the one piece that’s perfect for any occasion. Add our Astrid & Miyu Basic 2.0 Pendant as a finishing touch and you’re ready to be the belle of the living room ball!

This may be a difficult time for us all, but, as we move into winter it’s all about making the most of being at home. Feeling cosy without compromising on your own style will ensure you can celebrate those little moments.
