Bring On The Fizz - Where To Celebrate National Prosecco Day In Style

Today is National Prosecco Day (13th August) and we are celebrating with some well-deserved fizz! Prosecco has fast become the world’s favourite sparkling wine. The Italian gem is made from the Glera grape and is grown in the north east corner of the stunning country, approximately 30 miles from Venice. With its picturesque rolling hills covered in vines, it is a destination every Emma Wallace Woman will want to add to her bucket list!

However, with travel largely on hold, this week we are inviting you pop the cork as we round up the best bars to enjoy a glass of bubbles in…socially distanced of course! Find your nearest one and get ready to bring the fizz!

Prosecco House, London

This isn't just a prosecco bar in London, this is THE prosecco bar! The Prosecco House located near London Bridge is the capital’s first ever bar dedicated to our favourite sparkling wine, selling everything by the glass alongside bellinis, spritzes, and other cocktails. Pick your tipple and compliment it with charcuterie, cheeses and small plates to satisfy your hunger. Bellissima!

Wooloomooloo Prime, Hong Kong

Shopping mall The One in Tsim Sha Tsui offers plenty, from the dizzying Beauty Bazaar to an array of high-end dining options including Wooloomooloo Prime, a more elevated iteration of the popular Australian steakhouse concept. Prime cuts of beef are joined by other top-class dishes, from whole Boston lobster to beef Wellington. Whilst tradition may suggest red win with steak, we’re all about breaking the rules and serving up our own style - so be sure to order a glass of Valdobbiadene Col de Salici Prosecco NV to add some sparkle to your night.

Sotto 13, New York

Sotto 13’s social brunch is a must try in the Big Apple, but they’ve upped their game even further with the introduction of a ‘Craft Your Own Prosecco Bar’. Delivered on a tray to your table, you’ll be greeted with a variety of seasonal fresh fruit purees, liqueurs and garnishes. Try different combinations and craft your own bubbly prosecco cocktails. The perfect way to mix it up!

Chinchilla, Cape Town

South Africa is fabulous at making wine in its own right, but for that thirst-quenching glass of imported fizz then try Chinchilla – a rooftop concept in Camps Bay with views to relish! There's a wide selection of signature cocktails to keep you occupied (try the ‘Lollies That Make Me Jolly’ serve including Martini Prosecco D.O.C and sorbet ice lolly) but a glass of prosecco is always on the menu. Whilst it's hard to get a table, if you can you'll feel like you're in Ibiza, thanks to the drinks, the toe-tapping tunes, and the personable wait staff.

Bibo Wine Bar, Sydney

Located in Double Bay, this Portuguese wine bar is one to add to the list! Sommelier Louella Mathews has garnered an award-winning wine menu spanning the globe, supplemented by a private cellar that has been made available exclusively to Bibo, guaranteed to pique any wino’s interest. Choose the chorizo which is served quite literally on fire and quench your thirst with a delicious glass of Amanti ‘Extra Dry’ Prosecco.

Even in these socially distanced times, we’re all about celebrating the small things – so even if you can’t head to a restaurant or bar, why not grab yourself a bottle of prosecco and savour the day!
